Namibia

This country with its endless spaces and peaceful landscapes is sparsely populated. Here you will find several most interesting endemic species of flora and fauna. Visit some of the indigenous people of Namibia and find thousands of rock paintings or engravings. This country is paradise to those interested in photography, geology, astronomy and botany. The enchanting colours of the desert, the savannah and mountains, as well as captivating sunsets, are natural wonders you simply have to see. Take part in numerous sporting opportunities like hiking, climbing, parachuting etc. The vast coastline lends itself to excellent surfing, angling and sailing activities. For the connoisseur who likes tasty game dishes and steaks there are many lodges, restaurants and hotels, but you may also have your first meal of traditional food like mopane worms and wild spinach. Although Namibia has a very good roads network, you may also find it exciting to drive along the rough country roads to remote corners where you will encounter no other visitors, spend an evening by the fire and observe a clear night sky like you have not seen before.
